Day 147 - It occurred to me today that I should begin documenting my progress here in The Forgelands now that I have a good, and renewable supply of books and ink. I regret not beginning this earlier, and just farming squid for ink in the ocean, but hindsight is 20/20 as they say.
I will journal whenever something interesting happens, or a major milestone is reached. I feel many of the days here at the Villa are too mundane and boring for a good journal entry, but I will try…
Day 168 With the immediate need for iron solved by the quick trip into the mine, I finally had the resources to start thinking bigger. I dedicated a day to clearing and carving out a new space in the first workshop room and adding a small, efficient 5-furnace smelting bank. Each furnace has a double chest dedicated to feeding both resources and charcoal, which should allow for much longer, hands-off smelting sessions. Next to that, I built a large wall to serve as a Project Wall, where I can list all the huge tasks ahead and the corresponding materials I need. It’s a good feeling to finally organize the future!
Day 170 The project wall revealed just how quickly I’m going through cobblestone. I decided to tuck a small, simple Cobblestone Generator into the corner of the smelting room. It’s noisy, but the…
Day 203 Today was the day. I geared up, double-checked my inventory (Food, Water, Shield, spare Iron blocks), and stepped into the portal. The Nether location was decent - underground, but close to a few large, open chambers. I explored for several hours, finding quartz, gold, and a bunch of other resources. I need to be careful; without any slow-falling potions, the open chasms are terrifying. I did not locate a Nether Fortress yet, but I marked the location of a huge Basalt Delta that will be useful for future builds.
Day 206 The lure of automation is too strong, and I desperately need the resources from a Witch Farm. I dedicated the afternoon to searching for a Witch Hut in the large swamp biome I mapped to the…
Day 301 The grind for the Drowned Farm has officially begun. The Cobblestone Generator is roaring, and the sheer volume of material needed is daunting - mostly glass, stone bricks, and iron, all of which will take weeks. I've set up an initial goal to craft 10,000 blocks of glass. The Iron Farm is running perfectly, but even its output feels slow against the needs of this massive aquatic structure.
Day 308 A full week of grinding. I’ve started gathering wood from the nearby forest again, as I need thousands of logs for the massive amount of scaffolding required for the Drowned Farm structure. I…
