The Forgelands is Andy The Maker's permanent home civilization: a forever-survival world built around infrastructure, industry, logistics, lore, and the steady transformation of chaos into order. Every other expedition departs from here, and every recovered artifact eventually returns here.
This archive is the master record of that civilization.
The World
The settled districts of The Forgelands center on Savanna Villa, the operational headquarters, with the MacGruder Family Homestead anchoring the agricultural plains to the north, the Tortuga Monolith and its foundry rising in the east, the Spruce Logging Camp working the southern forests, and Cherry Mountain standing largely untouched on the western horizon. Scalloped Gulch cuts between them, a canyon that the Grand Rail Line will one day bridge.
The People
The Forgelands is not empty. The MacGruder family — Drugal the smith, his children Roric and Bronwyn, and young Lorne — were the first villager allies of the world. Elara, a wandering keeper bound in some way to the Stone of Growth, appears and disappears on her own schedule. Four factions shape the world's politics: the industrial Smithies, the devout Copperlings, the practical Agrarians, and the hostile Myst.
The Work
The defining project of the era is the Grand Rail Line, a continent-spanning railway intended to bind every district into one functioning whole. Around it orbit the Tortuga Foundry, the Brickworks Empire, the Dripstone Copper Pit, and the preservation institutions: the Hall of the Ancients, the Natural History Museum of Biomes, the Aquarium, and the Comprehensive Zoo.

Forgotten Seed
A single unidentifiable seed of unknown origin, currently held in secure storage, which Elara says was planted too early and will therefore sprout late.
Stone of Growth
A weathered standing stone in the homestead fields whose presence measurably accelerates crop growth, and whose keeper is Elara.

A copper-inlaid stone tablet recovered from a sealed chamber on the Tortuga Monolith, recording four marks that match the four factions of The Forgelands.

An ancient stone well outside Savanna Villa's wall whose water never stills and which produces faint sounds with no identified source.
