Savanna Villa

Overview

Savanna Villa is where The Forgelands began. What started as a first-night shelter on a savanna plateau has been rebuilt, extended, and reorganized into the operational headquarters of the entire world. Every major project in The Forgelands has been planned at the Villa's map table, and most of them have been supplied from its storage halls.

Purpose

The Villa serves four roles at once: residence, warehouse, planning office, and launch point. Its central storage network is the reference implementation for the larger storage systems being rolled out across the world, and its position near the geographic center of the settled districts makes it the natural hub of the Grand Rail Line.

Current Status

The Villa is fully operational and continuously maintained. Recent work includes a rebuilt smithing wing, an expanded enchanting library, and the foundations of the first Grand Rail Line station on the eastern terrace. The original starter shelter has been preserved intact inside the compound as a historical record.

Field Notes

Visitors tend to expect a castle. The Villa is deliberately not one. It is a working estate built in warm terracotta, acacia, and stone, designed to be lived in rather than admired from a distance. The MacGruder family homestead lies a short ride to the north, and the road between the two settlements was the first piece of formal infrastructure in the world.
