Andy's Shulker Box Kit System - Concept, Structure, Standards

The purpose of the system is simple:

Overview

Andy's Shulker Box Kit System is a standardized inventory management framework developed for The Forgelands.

The purpose of the system is simple:

Every tool, project, build style, expedition, and infrastructure project should have a dedicated kit that can be deployed instantly.

Rather than carrying random supplies or creating one-off shulker boxes for every task, the system organizes resources into permanent, reusable kits that can scale from small projects to world-spanning mega builds.

The system has been designed specifically for long-term survival worlds where efficiency, consistency, logistics, and project management become increasingly important over thousands of in-game days.

Core Philosophy

Every shulker box should answer three questions immediately:

1. What category is this?

The shulker color provides the answer.

2. What is this used for?

The kit prefix and number provide the answer.

3. Where does this belong?

The kit classification provides the answer.

A player should never need to open a box to determine its purpose.

System Structure

Every kit follows the same format:

PREFIX-NUMBER
KIT NAME

Examples:

EXP-01
Explorer Kit

RAIL-03
Railway Automation Kit

BLD-05
Glass & Window Kit

This allows unlimited expansion while maintaining consistency.

Color Classification System

Colors represent broad categories rather than individual kits.

Kit Classifications

Not all kits serve the same purpose.

The system divides kits into four classes.

Class A — Permanent Carry Kits

These remain in the Ender Chest at all times.

Examples:

  • EXP-01 Explorer Kit
  • GEAR-01 Equipment Kit
  • FOOD-01 Expedition Food Kit
  • CAMP-01 Camp Kit
  • BLD-01 Builder Kit
  • RED-01 Redstone Kit
  • MAP-01 Cartography Kit

These are considered daily-use kits.

Class B — Project Kits

These are retrieved only when needed.

Examples:

  • Trading Hall Kit
  • Iron Farm Kit
  • Gold Farm Kit
  • Villager Hall Kit
  • Brickworks Kit
  • Museum Kit
  • Zoo Kit
  • Armory Kit

Class C — Palette Kits

These exist primarily to maintain visual consistency.

Examples:

Texturing Kits

  • TXT-01 Stone Texturing Kit
  • TXT-02 Deepslate Texturing Kit
  • TXT-03 Tuff Texturing Kit
  • TXT-04 Mud Brick Texturing Kit
  • TXT-05 Copper Texturing Kit

Pathway Kits

  • PATH-01 Forest Path Kit
  • PATH-02 Ancient Path Kit
  • PATH-03 Swamp Path Kit
  • PATH-04 Industrial Path Kit
  • PATH-05 Mountain Trail Kit

Class D — Mega Project Systems

Projects too large for a single shulker box.

These become coordinated multi-kit systems.

Examples:

  • MEGA-01 Grand Rail Line
  • MEGA-02 MacGruder Farmstead
  • MEGA-03 Great Zoo
  • MEGA-04 Aquarium
  • MEGA-05 Hall of the Ancients
  • MEGA-06 Brickworks
  • MEGA-07 National Park
  • MEGA-08 Monument to the Community

Multi-Shulker Project Systems

Large projects require multiple coordinated kits.

Example: Grand Rail Line

  • Rails
  • Powered Rails
  • Detector Rails
  • Activator Rails
  • Redstone Torches

RAIL-02

Future Expansion Rules

Every new kit must include:

  1. Color Category
  2. Prefix
  3. Number
  4. Classification
  5. Defined Purpose

Example:

Purple Shulker
EXP-04
Archaeologist Kit

Red Shulker
RED-03
Clock Systems Kit

Blue Shulker
RAIL-02
Station Builder Kit

Green Shulker
DEC-05
Leaves & Foliage Kit

By following these standards, Andy's Shulker Box Kit System can grow indefinitely while remaining organized, scalable, searchable, and instantly recognizable throughout The Forgelands.
