Faction Record
ArchivedFaction Alignment Rules
This file will eventually define how builds, locations, materials, farms, districts, and lore entries align with the ancient factions of The Forgelands.
The known major factions are Smithies, Copperlings, Agrarians, and Mystics. Twelve ancient factions existed in total, but the remaining factions are not fully discovered or developed yet.
Current Alignment Principles
Smithies align with stone, iron, permanence, durability, practical infrastructure, foundries, workshops, rail foundations, golems, armories, and heavy construction.
Copperlings align with copper, redstone logic, powered rails, automation, sorting systems, mechanical movement, industrial precision, and the warning that automation should serve the Maker rather than replace the Maker. Copper Golems were created by the Copperlings.
Agrarians align with sustainability, farming, animals, bees, clay, logging camps, food production, villages, long-term stewardship, and the living descendants of ancient agrarian traditions.
Mystics align with swamps, potions, witches, hidden knowledge, enchantment, dimensional study, sabotage, dangerous ruins, and chaos turned into utility.
AI Guidance
Do not force every build into one faction. Some major builds can have mixed alignment. The Grand Railway, for example, can include Smithie foundations, Copperling powered rail logic, Agrarian support settlements, and Mystic-adjacent ruins or hidden sites.
