The Copperling Mine Tunnel Historic Site was discovered by Andy while surveying a better Grand Railway route. The site includes an oxidized copper path, a boat docking approach, a ruined portal, a copper-framed mine entrance, dripstone formations, preserved Copper Golems, and extensive remaining copper ore.
The stop is planned as a Grand Railway detour where visitors can safely view the preserved entrance and front sections of the ancient Copperling mine.
Future Station Planning Notes
- Add safe guest paths without erasing the original ruin atmosphere.
- Keep ancient ruins visually distinct from Andy's modern railway infrastructure.
- Use station signage to clarify whether a location is a modern build, an ancient discovery, or a modern preservation site.
- Protect unstable shafts and deep mine areas from casual visitor access.
- Preserve major artifacts in place whenever possible.
