This document serves as the official blueprint for the Museum of Biomes project within The Forgelands. This massive undertaking will be a major content Arc (likely Arc 5 or 6) centered around collecting every unique mob and block variant to create a permanent, educational archive of the world.
I. Project Vision & Aesthetics
| Component | Goal | Aesthetic Guidelines |
|---|---|---|
| Concept | To archive and display every major Minecraft biome and biome-specific passive mob variant in a visually striking, curated format. | The Dark Tunnel: The main walkway must be kept dark (Deepslate/Blackstone) and minimally lit, forcing the focus onto the illuminated dioramas. |
| Setting | A massive, excavated cave tunnel system built deep underground (below Y=0). | Tunnel Path: Deepslate Tiles or Polished Blackstone walkway, lit only by subtle Redstone Lamps hidden under carpets or placed in the floor. |
| Dioramas | Each diorama must be a self-contained, illuminated environment with accurate block textures and unique mobs. | Viewing Window: Each exhibit is viewed through large Glass or Pane walls, framed by elegant materials (Chiseled Quartz, Copper, or Dark Prismarine). |
II. Content Structure & Phases
The execution of this project will generate a long-running, searchable content Arc (e.g., TFL - Side Quest - Collecting Biomes).
| Phase | Content Focus | Video Output (Examples) |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Excavation & Blueprint | The Dig. Select the location (large, open underground space). Design the exact size and shape of the loop/corridor. Perform the large-scale excavation (time-lapse heavy). | Medium-Effort Video: "TFL - Side Quest: Starting The Museum of Natural History" |
| 2. Resource & Infrastructure | The Supply Run. Gather every specific block needed (Terracotta from Badlands, Red Sand from Deserts, specific stone types, and most critically: Name Tags and Leads). | Medium-Effort Video: "Collecting Every Block for the Biome Museum (Insane Resource Tour)" |
| 3. Mob Collection (Arc Focus) | The Hunts. Dedicate individual videos to collecting the rarest or most logistically difficult mob variants. This will involve large-distance transport. | High-Effort Video: "I Traveled 10,000 Blocks to Find the Rare White Fox for the Museum" |
| 4. Finishing & Archiving | The Display. Final detail work, custom lighting, writing the lore books for each exhibit, and the final Grand Tour. | High-Effort Video (Climax): "The Grand Opening! Touring The Forgelands Biome Museum" |
III. Exhibit Checklist & Mob Requirements
The collection must focus on biome-specific variants to showcase the game's subtle differences. Every single mob must be named with a Name Tag to prevent despawning.
| Biome/Variant | Unique Block Focus | Mobs to Collect (Named) | Transport Method |
|---|---|---|---|
| Coral Reef / Ocean | Coral Blocks, Sea Grass, Sand/Gravel. | Tropical Fish (in buckets), Pufferfish (Careful!), Dolphin (difficult capture). | Buckets/Boat (Leads) |
| Mushroom Fields | Mycelium, Huge Red/Brown Mushrooms. | Red Mooshroom, Brown Mooshroom (obtained by shearing a Red Mooshroom). | Lead/Minecart |
| Badlands (Mesa) | Various types of Terracotta (stained/uncolored), Red Sand. | Warm Cow/Pig/Chicken Variant, Armadillo (Found in Savanna/Badlands). | Lead/Minecart |
| Taiga/Snowy | Podzol, Coarse Dirt, Powdered Snow, Spruce Logs. | White Fox, Cool Cow Variant, White Rabbit. | Lead/Boat (over ice) |
| Lush Caves | Moss Blocks, Spore Blossoms, Azalea Trees, Clay. | Axolotls (all 5 colors - must breed for Blue), Bats. | Buckets/Lead |
| Desert | Sand, Cacti, Sandstone, Fossils (if available). | Camel, Husks (Hostile, contained), Salt Rabbit. | Lead/Minecart |
IV. Maker Integration & Narrative Points
Exhibit Lore: Each diorama must have an adjacent Lectern displaying a Signed Book that tells the story of that biome: Where you went to find it, the risks involved, and the purpose of its unique blocks.
Unique Lighting: The lighting system itself should be a source of pride. The method used to illuminate only the exhibit and not the tunnel should be detailed in one of your Secondary/Meta-Playlist videos.
The Hunt: Every rare mob hunt (especially the white Fox or the Mooshrooms) should be filmed and edited as a dedicated "collecting" mini-episode, giving that mob celebrity status upon arrival.
