The Forgelands Aquarium: Centerpiece Blueprint

The Aquarium will serve as the heart of the Zoo, combining aesthetics, scale, and extreme engineering.

The Aquarium will serve as the heart of the Zoo, combining aesthetics, scale, and extreme engineering.

I. The Grand Vision: Multi-Tank Centerpiece

The Aquarium should be a towering, multi-level chamber viewable from all sides.

Display SegmentMob FocusEngineering Challenge
Deep Ocean TankSquids & Glow SquidsRelocation: Requires building an uninterrupted, massive water chute system back to the source biome.
Coral Reef TankTropical Fish (All Colors)Segmentation: Must be kept separate from aggressive mobs. Requires delicate handling (using buckets).
Danger TankPufferfish & Drowned (Containment)Mob Trapping: Drowned are technically hostile, requiring strong glass/walls and a water source.
The Maintenance LevelHidden space below/above the tanks.Hidden Access: Needs concealed piping/access for healing, cleaning, and adding new mobs without draining the tank.

II. Engineering Plan: The Squid Relocation Nightmare

Squids cannot be led or picked up in buckets. They must be pushed or flowed. Your idea of "long and massive water chutes" is the correct, albeit terrifying, solution.

  1. The Sloping Canal System

The most reliable method to move Squids in large numbers is an engineered, continuous water flow:

The Pipeline: Build an enclosed, 3-block wide channel that runs from a deep ocean biome (the source of the Squids) all the way to your Zoo location.

The Slope: The channel must have a constant, gentle, downward slope. You achieve continuous flow by placing a full water source block every 8-10 blocks along the route.

Containment: The channel must be fully enclosed (a tunnel) to prevent the Squids from glitching out or flying away if you use boats/minecarts.

Lighting: The channel must be unlit or minimally lit with Sea Lanterns to ensure that Glow Squids can spawn naturally within the transport path, increasing your yield.

  1. Transport Method: Pushing the Mobs

Active Pushing: You will have to use Pistons or Minecarts (pushing the Squid into a minecart in water) for vertical lifts and challenging turns.

The Final Drop: The final segment of the canal should be a direct, safe drop into the large, permanent Aquarium tank.

III. Internal Design and Segmentation

Once the tanks are filled, you must segment the display to keep specific mobs separate.

Invisible Barriers: Use Glass Panes or Iron Bars spaced one block apart as barriers inside the main tank. From a distance, this looks like one seamless tank, but it prevents the Pufferfish from killing the Tropical Fish.

Bubble Column Elevators: Build Soul Sand-powered bubble columns in the deepest tanks to create dynamic, visible currents. This is great for Glow Squids, as it keeps them moving for the viewer.

The Dark Reef: Dedicate one part of the Coral Reef Tank to Glow Squids, lighting that area primarily with Shroomlights hidden under coral blocks to enhance the "glow" effect in the dark water.

This Aquarium project will be the ultimate centerpiece, demanding all your maker ingenuity and generating several unforgettable episodes about the sheer madness of transporting Squids for hundreds of chunks.
