The Underways & Deep Labyrinths
Not every ruin in The Ancient Lands reaches toward the sky. Some of them go down. Beneath the jungles, plains, coasts, and broken stone fields runs a layered world of old roads — entered through surface beacons Andy calls Waytowers, descending into the trade-route Underways, and bottoming out in the Deep Labyrinths, the lower reaches where a transportation network outlived the society that maintained it.
The records below collect Andy's field interpretation of that network, room by room and stone by stone.
The Deep Labyrinths: Where the Roads Forgot the Sky
The lower reaches beneath the Underways — chaotic deep dungeons where ancient trade routes became expedition hazards after centuries of collapse, repair, factional reuse, and abandonment.
The Underways: Roads Beneath the Ruins
An ancient subterranean network that began as transportation and trade routes beneath The Ancient Lands — a world beneath the world, entered through the Waytowers and built in layers by many peoples.
The Waytowers: Beacons Above the Underways
Surviving surface ruins that once marked entrances into the Underways — navigation beacons, lantern towers, and road signs of an old subterranean trade network across The Ancient Lands.
